While I was in Boulder, Colorado, having the most amazing vacation, my friend Ben pointed out to me that Boulder has a community garden. We didn't get into it much, but I found it quite fascinating. I researched it, and I think I found the internet site. Check it out here. How cool would it be to do something like this in Oxford?????

  • 'twould be VAIRY, VAIRY cool....maybe you ought to look into that? there have to be others interested in that. the closest thing i've seen is the little patch of land at the corner of locust and high st. next to the rr tracks, where people (volunteers?) are tending the flowers there.

but this would be cool. another thing you might be interested in is the MOON (Miami/Oxford Organic Food Network) that is just newly forming here. I just sent an email about a fund raising dinner.

but it would be neat to have a garden like that that would benefit the residents of the college corner corridor wouldn't it?

  • We have a community garded here in Northside also. I don't know a whole lot about it but Nan had a spot there for several years where she grew vegies.
